For as long as we can remember, the Puppets rules have had a special restriction against the use of electricity -- unless it is provided by batteries. For 2012, we are removing this restriction on Puppets shows on a trial basis for the 2012 convention on the follow condition:
- Safety is of FIRST concern and safety adult coaches are responsible to ensure safety first. Adult coaches will be responsible to manage plugging and unplugging devices to 110V "wall power".
- Puppet teams or their coaches must provide their own extension cords, power strips, etc. All equipment must be in safe and good-working order. Neither MWLTC nor the hotel will provide this equipment.
- The time allotted remains the same. No extra time will be given to allow for electrical setup.
We will be updating the published rules in the next few days to reflect this change.
